About our walk in service

When you arrive at the clinic during the walk in sessions, you’ll be asked to fill in a form which in which you provide your details and your reasons for attending.

You will then be triaged by a nurse, who will take you to a private room and have a brief discussion with you about your reasons for attending. Based on your discussion the nurse will decide which clinicians you need to see. You will then return to the waiting room to wait to be seen by a clinician.

When attending the walk in you may see some people who arrive after you but who are seen before you. This may be because they have a booked appointment eg. for STI treatment or a vaccine appointment, or because they have an acute sexual health need.
