DoxyPEP is a pill that you can take after sex to help prevent bacterial sexually transmitted infections, particularly syphilis and chlamydia. It involves taking the antibiotic doxycycline up 72 hours after unprotected sex.
It’s important to note DoxyPEP does not prevent HIV. For HIV prevention methods please see, PEP, PrEP and condoms.
Who is doxyPEP for?
We supply doxyPEP for gay and bisexual men, other men who have sex with men and trans women who are having sex with men. We may offer doxyPEP to other people if, following our discussions, we believe they could benefit from it.
How to take DoxyPEP
DoxyPEP involves taking two 100mg tablets of the antibiotic doxycycline no later than 72 hours after sex.
